COVID-19 Precautions Instituted at Hela Medical

The Health & Safety Of Our Patients, Staff, And Community Remains Our TOP PRIORITY.

CLEANING

  • We routinely clean all frequently touched surfaces in the Spa, including all medical equipment, all workstations, countertops, doorknobs, chairs, sinks and rest rooms. We use cleaning agents that are medical grade. All linens are changed between clients.

  • All employees are masked and all providers are masked and gloved for treatments. We continue to perform hand washing before and after client contact. In addition we have hand sanitizer for use by staff and clients throughout the Spa.

SCREENING & PPE

  • We screen all of our clients prior to their appointment to ensure safety precautions are being taken before coming to the Spa.

  • We ask that you text us at 202-333-4445 to let us know when you have arrived at Hela for your appointment to ensure there is social distance in the Spa for your arrival.

  • Clients are required to wear face masks when coming to the Spa.

  • Upon entry, we perform a touch-less temperature check on all clients prior to check-in. Common area seating has been modified so that no more than 2 people are waiting at the same time and are at least 6 feet apart in our lobby.

  • If we are unable to accomodate you in our lobby with the safety measures in place, we will ask you to wait in your car and will call you when we are ready to see you.

STAY HOME IF SICK

  • If you currently feel sick, please stay at home. We ask that you please call us to let us know before your appointment and WE WILL RESCHEDULE YOU WITHOUT PENALTY.

  • If you come to Hela and have a fever or feel sick, you cannot be treated. If you have been exposed to Covid-19 or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, you cannot be treated.

  • To keep our clients and staff safe, we ask that you do not bring anyone with you to your appointment including babies and children.

  • If you do feel sick and need to cancel, please call your primary physician. This is especially important if you have symptoms of a respiratory illness (i.e. fever, cough, sneezing, runny nose, or shortness of breath). The same thing applies if you have had any of these symptoms in the past 3 days or have a family member who is ill.

  • Employees who have symptoms of respiratory illness will stay home and not come to Hela until they are no longer symptomatic and do not have any other symptoms for at least 14 days.

To reschedule an appointment or if you have questions, please TEXT our office at 202-333-4445.

Your well-being is important to us. We are taking all the necessary precautions provided by the Centers for Disease Control to protect our employees and our clients.
